Hardcover. 12mo, 18cm, viii,356p., engraved frontis portrait & facsimile signature, 6 illustrations, folding map, in contemporary half calf and marbled boards, blind and gilt ruled raised bands, crushed crimson morocco label gilt, map torn along crease, some slight wear at the edges else a very good sound copy - Ragland (1815-1858), an evangelical minister, started his missionary work in Madras, India in 1845. He was one of the founders of the North Tinnevelly Mission. He died in India at age forty-three believed to be of exhaustion. Item #27478
