Hardcover. 8vo, xii,280p., limited to 1000 sets,(ie 300, see below), this being #203, with 75 tipped in colour plates with title printed tissue guards, rear folded map, in full dark maroon morocco, blind ruled raised bands, gilt titles and decorations in the panels, blind ruled borders on the boards and gilt title on decoration on the upper cover, dark maroon satin endpapers, inner linen hinges, t.e.g., some slight foxing on the fore edge, a fine bright unopened copy (tds). - - Inman p63. "A Royal Canadian Edition of a number of titles was published, bound in leather. The publisher's records show that 300 such copies were shipped (of twelve titles in the series). This is not a comprehensive list, (I know of an addition 6 titles not included in Inman list), but certain of A & C Black's ledgers are missing. Curiously the only copies so far seen state that they were limited to 1,000 sets" Item #28121
