An attractively bound facsimile reprint of the very early French history and description of Scotland first published in Paris in 1538. This, in turn, is chiefly an abridgement from Scottish historian, Hector Boethius's "Scotorum Historia" of 1527. The introduction in English is by Scottish antiquarian, David Laing (1793 1878) noted for his editing of notable works, particularly relating to Scotland. A very scarce facsimile reprint. Item #31467
