(on) The Board of Governors of King's College (Thomas Maynard, John Ambrose, and Henry Hind) appealed to the Lord Bishop of Nova Scotia to address the condition of the University " the College has fallen into disreputable condition, especially in respect discipline." The Visitation by the Bishop was held April 25, 1871 and ten infringements were addressed "I sent for the students and admonished them sharply". King's College was established in 1788 as the first college to be granted university powers in British North America. The College claims to have invented ice hockey around 1800. Item #33531
