Beautifully illustrated by Julius Caesar Ibbetson(1759-1817), a Yorkshire painter noted for his rural scenes anddepictions of animals, particularly cattle and pigs. Benjamin West calledIbbetson the Berghem of England". The paintings are graphically engravedby James Tookey, best remembered for his engravings of English notablesespecially Captain James Cook (1784).
