Bibliography of. pp170 171. ~ Taylor was a great friend of Dr. Johnson's. Johnson loved him, and considered him a very sensible acute man with a strong mind'. Taylor read the funeral service at Johnson's funeral and indeed their connection does not end there: these sermons are believed in the main to have been the composition of Johnson. (DNB).
