The large detailed folding lithographic map is of Quebec City in 1842 by W. Cowan and Son, Glasgow. A chapter is included on the Saguenay. Charles Roger, was born in Scotland and came to Canada in 1842, and became a journalist. He later accepted a position in the civil service in Ottawa. He was the author of - 1): The Rise of Canada, .
