() The Canada Company was formed in 1824 as a chartered land and colonization company in Upper Canada. Over half the land was in the Huron Tract with the rest scattered crown reserves through out Upper Canada. This land grant was in Norfolk County in South-Western Ontario. Thomas Mercer Jones and Frederick Widder were Commissioners and Administrators of the Canada Company. Operations of the Company ceased in the 1950's. Item #37475
