Scrap Book. Howard W. Warner. South Augusta. 1920. [Spine Title]. An eclectic mixture of newspaper cuttings, greeting cards, poetry, stories, obituaries, and stickers collected and mounted in a large nineteenth century account book (original entries visible at edges). South Augusta Township in the United Counties of Leeds-Grenville in eastern Ontario is located between Brockville in the West and Prescott in the East. Much of the contents of the book are about nearby Brockville and appear to be collected up to 1922. Much about the Brockville militia (including unusual World War One illustrations) and the local media ("The Recorder and Times" of Brockville with several anniversary papers laid-in).

(cgc) Local historian and genealogist, Howard W. Warner (b.1908) published several books on South Augusta including "South Augusta and its Environs" (1964), "The History of St. Georges' Church; South Augusta" (1938), "And Jacob Called the Name of the Place Bethel" (1949). A prominent member of the United Empire Loyalist Association, Warner was noted as an avid researcher and this book was part of a series that he organized with his ephemera.
