An early Christian nineteenth century religious text in fine leather binding. First published 1811 this second edition having added notes. A final essay is entitled "The Absurdity of Indifference to Religion". The frontispiece, a copper engraving, is of a praying woman by Thomas Stothard, "Hail Sacred Contemplation." Item #38355
