Signed by author. A very scarce large paper edition of Frederic M. Halford's autobiography. Known as "Detached Badger" of the "Field" , Halford wrote extensively on fishing-particularly dry-fly fishing-from 1886. In this he describes fishing on the Thames, Itchen, and Kennet Rivers. As well as a fishing trip to Weimar, Germany. Halford was one of the founders of the prestigious "British Flyfishers' Club" and the book features photographs of some of his colleagues- Francis Francis, Foster Mortimer, G.S. Marryat, J.A. Day and J.H. Leech. A very attractive book in fine leather bindings. Item #39562
