T.P.L. 2816. Major Warburton was in Canada on military duty from July 1844 to 1846. This work is a spirited narrative of his impressions of Lower and Upper Canada... published anonymously in 1846 with his brother named as editor. It was published posthumously after the author was killed in a fire at sea while on his way to make peace between Indian tribes on the Isthmus of Darien in Panama.
