Rules and Regulations made by his Majesty's Justices of the Peace, at a Court of General Quarter Sessions of the Peace, holden at the New Sessions House, in the City of Montreal, on Friday the Twenty-First day of April, in the forty-ninth year of his Majesty's reign, and continued by adjournments to Saturday at the Twenty-Ninth day of the same month, to have force and effect within the City and Suburbs of Montreal. An official publication of the Court of General Quarter Sessions of the Peace created in 1764 for administration of districts of Province. In 1791 there were 27 districts created in Lower Canada but in 1832 the Montreal Court was replaced by the Montreal City Council. Early publications by the Court are very scarce.
