~ A detailed printed of the ancient village of Charing Cross in the Tudor Period, then located midway between the cities of London and Westminster. (now located in the centre of London). The original cross is shown, erected in 1290 and destroyed by the Puritans in 1647. Other still familiar places shown are St. Jame's Park, Hay Market, St. Martin's Church, and Scotland Yard.
