A beautifully bound with fine engraved illustration of the great angling classic. This edition was first published in 1823 by London bookseller and publisher, John Major (1782-1849) with his significant Introductory Essay and new engraved plates by artist, John Absolon and engraved by J.T. Willmore. A popular Victorian publication, this is the fourth (1844) of five editions to 1847. A copy of the music to "The Angler's Song" (1643) is included with harmonized version by John Major (1844).
