Author's account of his 1905-6 expedition to Lake Michikamau along the route followed by Leonidas Hubbard in 1903. Hammond Innes wrote "The Land [Labrador] That God Gave Cain.” His methodology all his books was to spend six months exploring and researching the subject of his novels and then to spent six months writing it. The implication here is that The Long Labrador Trail heavily influenced his novel. He wrote over 30 novels, as well as works for children and travel books. - O’Dea 3321.
